Mid-winter update

The Ontario Timber Car Races are coming up on February 23. Please register by February 20; see the registration details. No registrations after February 20! (We need to enter everyone into the computer in advance.)

Planning is underway for the Ontario Jamboree this June. The organizing committee consists of Kim Griffiths (chair), Robert Anderson, Cayla Griffiths, Rachel Maw, Suelaine Poot, Rod Smith, and Christina Whitton. If you have any ideas or would like to get involved, please contact Kim Griffiths.

We're gathering ideas for a new logo for our association. Please send your ideas by February 23. We're hoping to make a selection at the Annual General Meeting in April.

The 2019 Conference and Annual General Meeting will be Saturday, April 6 at the University of Waterloo. All adult members are invited to attend and to vote at the AGM. You can attend in person or by teleconference. You can also vote by proxy.

This year, in addition to the meeting, we will be having a Scouters’ Conference, traditionally called an Indaba. There will be a choice of sessions on various topics to allow us to learn about Scouting from each other. To help us plan, please complete this conference survey.

Adult training: Due to scheduling difficulties, the Wood Beads Part II course has been postponed to the fall. The dates will be announced by the AGM.

And for those who like to plan long in advance: Last summer, dozens of members of our Association attended the Eurocamp18 jamboree in England. The next Eurocamp will be 2022 in Austria.
